In January 2018, the Building Industry Association of San Diego (BIA) requested that Dan S. Biggs (principal engineer at Earth Wind Water Civil Engineering) continue to serve on the Industry advisory task force for stormwater regulations. The BIA is very active in the San Diego Region as it represents the builders and developers of projects in this region. The stormwater task force meets monthly to review pending or anticipated regulation changes affecting stormwater treatment and management on construction sites.
The committee has been meeting for the past few years with all of the Cities and other Municipal Agencies to communicate concerns of builders and to serve as a partner with the agencies to see that adopted regulations are meaningful and workable.
